With its giant parabolic opening near the top, Kingdom Centre is the tower that defines the skyline of Riyadh. Completed in 2002 and rising to about 302 metres, it was the tallest building in the country for several years and remains its most recognisable modern landmark. Locals sometimes nickname it the bottle opener, though the name is usually applied with affection.

The tower combines offices, the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh and a three-level luxury shopping mall at its base. For visitors, the main draw is the Sky Bridge: a 65-metre steel and glass walkway, weighing around 300 tonnes, that spans the opening at the top of the tower about 300 metres above the street.

The Sky Bridge

Two high-speed lifts take you up, the second covering the last stretch to the 99th floor in well under a minute. From the bridge you look straight down on King Fahd Road and out across the grid of the city: the Faisaliah Tower to the south, the financial district towers to the north and the desert beyond. The windows are angled, so you can lean in for photos straight down.

  • Best time: about 30 minutes before sunset, so you see the city in daylight, at golden hour and lit up after dark.
  • Queues: weekday afternoons are quieter than Thursday and Friday evenings.
  • Time needed: around 45 minutes to an hour including the lifts.

Tickets and opening hours

Tickets are sold at a counter in the mall and online. Prices changed in 2026 under new management: recent reports put the walk-up adult ticket at around SAR 138, with reduced prices for children and premium packages costing considerably more, so check the official Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge page before you go. The bridge typically opens from around midday until late evening, from the late afternoon on Fridays, and hours change in Ramadan. Bundled city tours with Sky Bridge entry are listed on GetYourGuide.

Tip: Keep your ticket handy: there are checks at both the lower and upper lift lobbies. Large bags may need to be left at the counter.

Shopping and dining

The mall at the base is free to enter and has international fashion houses, a department store and plenty of cafés and restaurants for a meal before or after the view. Prayer times briefly pause service in shops. If you want more of the city's food scene, our restaurants guide lists well-established places in Riyadh and beyond.

Good to know: The Sky Bridge is enclosed, but it can feel exposed if you are uneasy with heights. Lifts are accessible; check with staff about wheelchair access on the bridge itself.

Getting there

Kingdom Centre stands on King Fahd Road in Olaya, the commercial heart of the city. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the easiest way to arrive, and the Riyadh Metro's Blue Line runs along Olaya Street nearby. There is paid parking under the mall. Our getting around guide explains the metro.

Combine it with

Spend the day with history at the National Museum and Masmak Fort, then come here for sunset over the modern city. On another evening, compare the view with the lantern-lit lanes of At-Turaif in Diriyah. Olaya is a convenient base for first-time visitors: search Booking.com for hotels nearby.
